Best App Review ever:

"Awesome app but please remove the ads, then i will give you 5 Stars"

So basicly you are saying the developers should not make any money of the app they spend multiple hours making? Well lets remove the ads then i guess 😤😤

And don't forget to make it paid for the ad-free version.

How is he stupid if he doesn't want ads in an app he is using? If he gave you 3-4 stars then I'd call it fair rating. I'm not saying that you should remove ads but rather that people are not obliged to give you five-star ratings just because your app is awesome, when it contains things they find annoying. Some people would rather pay for the service than have ads and other are just not content with either and dislike ads even when they get the app for free. Some would probably prefer you even open-sourcing your app and contributing to it themselves. You can't fully satisfy everyone so you should just continue doing your thing and not let negative opinions drag you down.

    „multiple hours”?!

Either I’m doing all that app developement thing completely wrong or I seriously doubt your „afternoon of an app” really deserves 5 stars... ads or not 😅

@SgnfcntOverflow its not about the customer giving full five stars. Its anoying because when we as developers create a app in our free time and share it with the World we would like to get paid for the things we have done. The customer can always give the app a Bad rating if the dosent like the ads. But its a no go to say to a developer That He should remove the ads to get more Stars. Its like saying you work for free and get no money. And thats not how it works

You know what else is annoying? Ads. There are other ways to monetize your app, but the most straightforward approach would be to offer a paid ad-free version like was suggested. You can be mad about the ratings, or the idea the customers don't value the effort you put into the app, but the fact remains that as long as you leverage ads as a revenue stream you will be paying a tax on user experience. To this user's credit they seem to want to continue using your app and overall were giving a positive review. You know what I do when I use an app that has ads which are even remotely obnoxious? I uninstall it and never even consider coming back and giving it a second chance in the future.

@mclark1129 well its still your choice to uninstall the application and give a Bad rating. Buts you cant expect the developer removing all if his ads and revenue just so you can use the app better. The ads are there for a reason. Go ahead and make a paid Version of your app. 90% of the people complaining about ads still bot gona buy it

    Yeah, just make it paid.

@Nino9612 I actually agree with @mclark1129. People will pay for an ad free experience if the app offers reasonable value for money.
