Finding out, for whatever reason, Microsoft decided not to include IdnMapping in the Silverlight Client runtime and spending 3 hours building a filthy hack via the RIA Service to do something that normally takes one line of code.
Then realising you still have to maintain a Silverlight project and cry some more.

Feel your pain. Administrating a vendors' Silverlight based product. Although they will be migrating off it - someday.

Did they hook you with the "we're migrating soon" line? You poor, naive fool.

Before Silverlight got the axe I was offered a job with a Silverlight shop. Being a big web standards guy I was against it. Being out of work I considered it. I am so glad I didn't accept it or I know I would be in the same boat as you guys.
