Machine Learning is the *ultimate enabler for bias

@potluck machine learning makes choices based on data in accordance with exposed data, right?

if ml starts making decisions that seem bias and the logic is correct - then that bias was ultimately confirmed by technology

What if we train it to detect crime and pulls from all previous crime data - and the function always detects minorities as criminals? Is the logic bunk or is the previous crime data biased?

Hmmmm, not to say you are wrong in the slightest but it does pose a good question in my mind
