Amazon has a new patent now "Keyword Determinations from Voice Data", which based on speech around a device, can filter out what you like/prefer/.. which could be used for displaying or fuel ads, so basically what everybody implied the facebook app does, but as a patent

They create patents so generic that its killing every individual inventor on the world

@teganburns it’s not a patent on language itself, it’s to process and filter out keywords from speech.

Always on listening in a device (say echo) and open an app/browser and bam, new ads or “recommended products” based on you’re current conversation, sadly @joshBent is right, the Facebook model of “alleged” spying, with an amazon patent.
