I'm starting to feel that the SO bunch are moving here - a few comments I've posted recently (and I don't usually like to post) have been shot down purely because they contain my opinion. I really hope it's just bad luck on my part 🙁

Well, you can still make your own private devRant, otherwise you can't stop random incoming people even from the websites you may dislike. What do you have against them anyway? O.o

@shittywebdev I strongly disagree. Low rep users tend to be idiots sometimes, but they are kicked in their butts appropriately for that. Other than that I see smart people. Have you ever opened a single profile of rep 2K+ user?

@KeyWeeUsr Being smart has nothing to do with being a dick head. I completely agree these guys are smart but it's the manner in which they go about kicking idiots in their butts that makes them appear to be an asshole.

@shittywebdev The only type of dickhead I experienced is VBS-dickhead. SO, SU, everywhere I saw(or asked) a question to one topic, this random vbs-dickhead came and answered with absolutely language non-related answer (most common case in [batch-file], therefore vbs as visualbasic-script).

This dickhead answers with either vbs even if op specifically states he wants 'batch' (simplier, non-binary, easier to distribute and debug), or simply adds a link to his custom .exe, because wtf not.

@KeyWeeUsr SO is brilliant and most of the people there are also, but there are some that are so far up their own arses because of their reputation that it makes it difficult to enjoy the community.

I never have a problem with anyone's opinion, because I appreciate that no-one's opinion is any more important than the next, but when you have power-hungry idiots I start to look elsewhere and it's a shame

@shittywebdev Yeah a lot of SO 'power-users' tend to forget that we were all beginners once and seem to put people down for getting things wrong

@ToshNeox Oh, I know what you're talking about. It's sometimes annoying, but rather this and a big pack of knowledge with it than trolls from old yahoo forum (or whatever it is now). Unfortunately everything nowadays is a choice between evil and lesser evil, no utopia yet.

oh and.. let the points alone, I love collecting points, achievements, badges. :( :D
