ToshNeox2528yI'd say the same as always, although I reckon it now involves build tools and VCS etc...

The people I was talking to were JavaScript developers. I think they were referring to using JavaScript on the front end as well as on the server with node. They did not understand my definition of full stack. They call my definition of full stack enterprise development.
-
@georgelynch I think this may be like the difference between software developer and software engineer: most people agree there's a difference, but definitions vary greatly.
-
@georgelynch this is also correct. Im a JS developer and we would consider you a full stack developer if you are going the all JS route. But again that then meets the definition of being able to work on all sides of the development process.

zshh38538yTo me it's just a question of "can you write a web app with a stack going from db -> ui by your self?". If yes, you are a full-stack developer. It's not relevant what languages you use.
-
spl020438yIt means you put the thermal paste on the CPU and support the system once its in production. And everything else in between :-)
What does full stack developer mean these days. It used to mean you could work the database, the backend code and the UI. What does it mean now?
