Speaking of casual days... Once I had to use a simple 30cm ruler to measure server's RAM usage.

    @samxxx I believe this is only possible when all ram pieces have the same amount of memory and this size is known

    There was a support case where customer complained that app is hogging CPU from time to time on their AWS VM. Along they attached a CPU% and MEM% chart for the last month and mentioned total memory on the server. The chart did not have value marks.... so zoom the MEM% chart in to calibrate the whole area to 10cm. Then measure each column to get % values (1mm = 1%) and calculate actual MB after that.

    The goal was to figure out whether the app leaked and when (app has MAX MEM setting) or it was smth else on the server.

    Note1: I do not have access to customer's server

    Note2: customer was on the other timezone and it was quicker to figure out MEM usage this way rather than wait for the next day.
