Wtf windows I leave my computer for 30 fucking minutes and you just initiate an update. No confirmation box that I want to shut down my entire computer for an hour. Fuck you windows

    Do your updates regularly and windows won't do this shit. It's like your girlfriend tr at her right and she won't fuck you over.

    This shit didn't happen when I updated Ubuntu 17 to 18, but Windows 17xx to 18xx oh god

    Use. The damn. Local policy editor!
    You can disable automatic updates entirely! No more random restarts, nor hour-long shutdowns! Just look it up!

    Pretend your computer is a baby: never leave it unattended, unless it is asleep or shut down 😇

    Just put your pc to sleep whenever you plan to leave it for some time. Also saves energy/heat.

    When I want a small break I run windows update and hit the restart button, then go "damn windows update!"

    @beggarboy I have an SSD but I have to clue why it took so long. It was the April update so it is fairly big.
