@leptol dunno, shut off a server months ago, they billed me all the same. I mean the virtual image was still up but the website said only running instances are billed.

@leptol full price but i read everything and nowhere did they say theyd charge for empty images

I remembered Amazon aws, poor guys could not charge me on my virtual prepaie card with 5$ in it. (Although I had no instances running)

Never had such issues with them, but I'll keep that in mind.

Ha. I had an issue with a server company once where I signed up for automatic billing through their site, then later closed my account through their site, and they continued to bill me for several months. They tried to convince me it was impossible to stop the billing on their end but somehow, when I continued to escalate the ticket, they were able to cancel it and refund me. I'm more than happy to be that "let me speak to your manager" person if it means I'm not getting scammed. If you don't like talking to those sorts of customers, don't work for a company that runs scams.

@mohammed Amazon charged me multiple times without a CVV for "verification", they owe me like $5 :-/
I still use their free EC2 instance but the forecasted costs sometimes give me a small heart attack until I realize that they are pulling the numbers out of their asses and the real costs are $0

Strange. I have encountered scaleway as a very fair company so far. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that you pay for images that you create, but it's understandable.
