What's your favorite vps hoster?
I'm currently using scaleway and love it, but recently learned that they offer no protection against data loss.
So I'm looking for an alternative for a project in production that has automatic backups as well as unmetered bandwidth.

Oh the struggle!
I discovered a potentially valuable/good domain name that's not taken yet - but although it overlaps with my business, I don't really... need it.
Should I grab it or don't I want to be one of those people?

Web frontend for Gis view

Imagine you're a dev for mobile apps (xamarin based) and you have a great project opportunity for a client.
The problem is that the project would (besides an app) involve a web version and you don't have any experience in web development.
How would you hire a web developer for this? Via freelancer platforms like twago, via an agency or request a project from some web design company?
Related question: does anyone know a good web frontend developer :)?

I just finished the first micro client project for my startup. Client communications and bureaucracy took much longer than implementation, and (because of that) the price I asked for was too low, but it feels really good :)

I just spent two hours in a workshop today, where the guy organizing the workshop was steamrolling everyone that we could not change anything in the software architecture.
