I just realized that my fucking boss managed to put a back end dev to do front end and a front end dev to make an api.

So me and the front end dev are constantly asking each other stuff instead of doing the fucking job properly because it isn't the subject that we like/spend our free time learning.

Although I understand that its good to have some "full stack" knowledge I also understand that my ui/ux is gonna suck while his api is gonna suck :)

    So why not fuck what the boss says and do the jobs you are paid to do, just work it out between yourselves.

    Yeah, this might be a situation where your boss is trying to force communication, or as Jase said, getting you to appreciate what the other does.

    But if this continues maybe you and the front end guy just do your proper jobs and make a good product.

    Go say Hi to him together, explain the situation, and ask him if the assumption above is correct.

    Then demand that you both switch sides or he can go fuck himself.

    Yeah, might be.
    But I doubt its the case with a tight deadline.
