DatePickers should be a W3C standard handled by the browser. We shouldn't rely on JavaScript plugins to do this basic input stuff

Might be coming. At least dialogs/modals will be standard 'soon'.

There is datepicker in firefox already

I've begun to come to terms with the idea that there will never truly be web "standards" anymore, only chunky CSS that has to adapt to every browser differently. (And accomodating Edge, which refuses to let JS work properly)

@musician the date probably will be the standard, but I don’t know about modal

I remember faffing around for an hour because I just _assumed_ this was a thing, if only I could find what attribute enables it.
