@fuck2code
I saw a documentary on this seems like everybody it taking it for coding -
@fuck2code
These are prescribed drugs for sleep disorder, you never took drugs? Not even for viral fever? Are you human? -
@iamkrid
I know i love coding , but I think it's just getting sleepy and making mistakes causes the dislike that i am having -
@sharktits
Ya but alcohol is additive, these pills have reported to be non-addictive -
@Brosyl
I don't think little cognitive kick is bad,
I feel sleepy when i code , these are for keeping you awake I don't know why people are so freaked about it. -
This stuff isn't "enhancing". It sort of works by keeping you awake, and you can work longer, but your body needs healthy sleep or else you'll collapse. In short, D2TS - don't do that shit.

Can people who have have actually taken it comment!! I have done a lot of research before asking this question
1. For people who are saying it's bad , i want to say that there are non addictive pills like modafinil , so fuck off
2. For the people who are saying that it's unethical, well if 70% of silicom valley coder are taking it , and many school and college kids are taking it then it boils down to it your own fuking problem
Please real people with experience of taking these pill comment -
@Brosyl
1) i will stop then simple
2)
3) I don't need improvement in my coding ability , just need focus -
@mohit3112 I see - did you already try "power napping"? You could sleep for half an hour and do that time afterwards. The reports on that one are quite good. Plus that it helps you to get your head free. Another idea could be some sort of meditation. Before screwing around with brain chemistry, I'd first try those options.
Of course, if the issue is that you hate your job, then getting onto something different is pretty much unavoidable. -
At the store right now , lets see if i can get it without prescription.
And chill guys it's an experiment.
I have not been addicted to any thing in my 27 years of being alive( i never drink never smoke) i love buttermilk though too much of it -
@Fast-Nop
No i love my job , i get to work with chips that will be released in the future, it's the best thing -
@Brosyl
There is nothing for " coding skill enhancement " there is only one thing for that work hard and work smart .
But there is always something for focus and attention -
@fuck2code
I got modafinlin i am aware of these side effects my friends is a chemist he told, also i consulted a physician . Adrell is banned in my country
I am curious though , physician said 100mg of modafilin is not addictive dose at all , i am on 10 day experiment.
I just wanted the input from people that took it fact that none of those people replied there a reason for it. We all know that reason. -
@mohit3112 it seems to me that you're not seeking for advice, but confirmation.
-
@ethernetzero
Yes no advice, i just wanted people who jave tried to share their experiences. I don't know how many times i have to repeat, and no i don't need anybody's confirmation -
azerty116yI did ritalin for 2 years, yes you code more but you was actually harder to finish projects. There is no "brain enhancer", just ego booster with à rush of adrenaline. Peace! PS : it's addictive and ruin your biological rythm.

>"...beautifully written code..."
N-word please... Programming's never been about coding, it's about creating and solving the puzzles. If you've lost that joy, you're done. Take a vacation.
Also, you should check yourself for diabetes, that's the first thing I'd do if I felt constantly sleepy for no apparent reason.
Good luck, though, if you do end up taking drugs. -
@telephantasm
Solving puzzles is easy and boring. I more concentrated on how tricky i can be in solving that, that keeps me going.
I don't know whether it's correct but i am gonna just put it out there
So long story short i am coding for 10 years now , and it came to a point where it's boring now so boring that even the most beautiful written code does not produce the same effect of achievement, and i started making a lot of fucked up mistakes, coding makes me sleep now
I came across some pills called called "cognitive enhancers" modafinil and adrell, does these really help?
