Stop crying like a baby about Github and Microsoft.

If you don't want that, then be a true developer, stand up and build your own Github.

    What if you need github for everything you make?

    @BambuSource apparently we have to stop crying because we're annoying this one person. No! Fuck Microsoft. I don't wannaa

    @BambuSource Github is basically just git, a webinterface and some sugar around it.

    Nothing that can't be replaced.

    And if you have such heavy dependencies on one tool, you're screwed anyway.

    @ddephor I don't, maybe other people.
    Where you @Alice put her recipes?

    @ddephor the point is we don't want to have to need to replace GitHub. We want Microsoft to not aquire GitHub

    @Alice where are you going to put your cake recipe!?!?

    @Code-Junkie Why?

    Just because Microsoft? That's infantile.

    Because things might change? Things change anyway.

    Because some $BigBadCompany with $Trillions of free money shouldn't buy the $SmallGoodCompany? Github is also a big Company, they have a leader board and even a supervisory board. It's all business.

    @ddephor Microsoft bought a competitor. And all of its users data with it. Microsoft is one of a few companies that I don't trust with my data. Microsoft cares about money, not developers. I wouldn't be surprised if GitHub becomes a lot more expensive and it's services get neglected. That's why

    Competitor? No lol, they use github themself! MS is already paying Torvalds salary by being a sponsor to Linux Foundation.

    @Linux they both have competing products ex. Atom vs VS . Microsoft will kill one of them eventually, likely not VS

    @Code-Junkie
    I dont think so actually, because atom is open source and if MS would decide to do it - another party will take over.
    That is why it is unlikely that MS would be killing atom.
    VSCode is also open source.

    Also, Microsoft is not that what it used to be when Balmer ruled, Nadella is MUCH more open minded.
