So Comcast is down at my place 6 days now. No tv no reliable internet and no phone. A couple days ago the "technician" came in and could not figure it out. For two days before his arrival Comcast was calling me day and night requesting I reset the modem - they are completely opposed to sending someone out. Anyhow, technician decides that we need an external technician. He calls in and gets us the earliest appointment of next Tuesday. So all in all we will be out of service for 12 days if the technician manages to fix it. And here we are in massive city in the USA in the 21st century without internet service. Google Fiber has announced their prices in my area - adios Comcast!

I moved to a city in Texas specifically for FiOS. Then Verizon sold it to Frontier. now service is spotty as hell and my bill has been steadily increasing for months. one or two bucks a month. customer service has hour wait times.

the FCC needs to hammer these suckers.

Not that it's much consolation, but they will normally credit you for the time it was out. (I hate Comcast, and wish Google fiber was in my area!)

I understand your pain. I just went through something similar. I even ranted about it.

I'm not going to lie, it was the hardest 10 days of my life

@MLK79 that's why I have 3 internets at home. Satellite broadband and two mobile broadband. Redundancy ho!!! 🤗

@pixeltherapy Yeah, I don't have US$350 a month to donate to internet. Not to mention there are only two providers.

Now, as soon as my 'insert business idea' kicks off, I'm moving to a country where I can have like 7 of them.
