My family. Mom was the first person to be proud of the things I was interested in. Then my girlfriend pushed me to finish school(she is my wife and the mother of my child now) but mostly my daughters.

I want them to grow up knowing what their dad does.

I am pretty motivated most of the time though, even for shit that i do not like.

Also...money.....i really fucking like money.

@AlexDeLarge ain't gonna deny that shit one bit bro. To be fair though...I loved money in Mexico, did it in Korea and Japan, do it in the U.S and will do it in Europe once I get the chance

@Floydian i took it as a joke all in all. Wouldn't say that the entire population of the country is egoistic or self centered or anything like that. I would not argue that our politicians are shit though! But I have faith. I want to believe in people from all over the world. I really do and like chilling everywhere with everyone:) nationality and race mean shit to me. It's all about being excellent to one another.

@Floydian you kinda are when you say that the majority are which ain't really the case man. It may be a perception that you have gotten from somewhere, maybe you lived here and got that, or met a few dickheads that tainted the perception. But in my experience, based on living here damn near all my life and in different states it has not been the case

@Floydian the same way I do when people have collective ideas: form my own opinion of it, if possible travel there and find out for myself.

Pack mentality is really harmful. And trendy ideas are just that: trends.
Not because a large group of people say something it means that it is true.

Take Mexico for example, lovely place, great food, great people and with a lot of places to visit and things to do. A lot of friends in S. Korea had the idea that the entire country was in a state of constant war with the narco and that entire cities were destroyed and soldiers running around and no one being able to do stuff efc etc. And by a lot of friends I mean damn near every Korean I met that would ask me about the country(I lived in Mexico so they were curious) some of them would go as far as to recommend not visiting Mexico even though they had never been there!

Pack mentality my brother. It's harmful and limits cool possibilities.

@Floydian i did so too before. The experience of a few do not contrast well with the experience of thousands. This can work both ways(even against me for the current context) if you lived here and had a bad experience that does not automatically taint the entire country.

Or we can just go by the "majority" ideas eh?
Canada is full of cucks, Europe is full of pussies and queers, Mexico is full of criminals, Asia is full of men with small dicks. The USA is full of selfless fat people that consider themselves better than everyone else etc etc
Generalizations. All of them. All of them bullshit.Based on the experience of a few(remember, numbers are relative)

Try it out man. Come on over. Make your way to Texas and we'll meet you with interest and have you over a beer and barbecue(at home we treat to both the Texas and the Mexican style) and maybe your opinion of it will not be as tainted as it is.

@AlexDeLarge i refuse to my good sir. I can't blame people for having such ideas of countries and their people. But my experience dictates differently and as such I try to merely provide a different output.

I need to have faith my man, otherwise I would lose my shit (and my hope)

    @Floydian because America defends YOU.

@Floydian depends on the country, but typically military and aid.

@Floydian india has a very capable military indeed. Their training methods are fucking beastlike. Indian soldiers don't fuck around man, they really do mean business.

@Bitwise i believe that some people may very well not know the difference between being confident or an arrogant prick. I am confident, and really fucking love everything about myself. Which for a lot of people equals being self centered.

Guess i should just lower my opinion of myself to fit in eh?

@Bitwise it is not that I don't understand it. I just think it is wrong, both in concept and in way of thinking.

Those are absolutes, wrong ones at that. I just can't stand there and accept sweeping generalizations, else I would never visit anywhere in the world.

I said it before on this thread, read it if you want to(or not, don't really mind if you don't) but judging an entire country over some situations or the *very* biased input of: visitors, people that never even lived here, people that lived here for a bit and where annoyed over the country not being like where they came from, really closed minded individuals etc etc is just.....well silly.

And stating that the leader of a nation(which was not elected by popular vote) is a representation of a country is(i am sorry to put it this way) moronic. Else all Venezuelans are shit people because Chavez is...all Filipinos are violent sadists because Duterte is etc etc. Pretty...well...dumb
