OK so here's the business/economic reason of why MS bought GitHub.

I don't quite get it... but basically it seems its like LinkedIn, just buying the users/access to the developers...

What the reason is why they brought Github for, I just don't fucking care. I'm happy and hope they will use their resources to uphold the love I had for Github....and and and....DON'T fucking force me to login with Microsoft (Hotmail and Outlook) account to use Github.

It makes sense to me that a software centered company may want to get closer to developers. In the end it's always about the customer base and consequential influence it has in a community. Microsoft already had their version control and good developers, they didn't need GitHub for the technology or expertise.

Surely part of their medium to long run plan is to be a nice option for developers beyond the operating system and cloud talk.
