I literally have a discussion with somebody who says C# is better than PHP, even though the person in question never even touched PHP...

Like: if you prefer C# over PHP because you actually used BOTH and just prefer C# that's completely fine... but saying C# is flat out better just because you never used PHP?

It's like saying "Coca-Cola tastes better than Pepsi" even though you never had Pepsi (disclaimer: I like Coca-Cola better, but I don't really care that much about the minor difference)

I've tried both, C# syntax is cleaner and just better. I often say C# is what Java was supposed to be.

I prefer C# Syntax and strictly typed. but I also like to just create an scratch and run it in php.

Also for some templateing in html.

I usually use php for api applications and websites and C# for high performance services, processing / reports and desktop apps (winforms to uwp)

I've experimented with both and can say that I'm neutral.

...I like both Pepsi and CocaCola

@raldo94 PHP7 also supports strictly typed, tho you have to enable it yourself (with a single line).

I go with C# (sometimes C++) for stuff that has to run on a desktop and with PHP for stuff that has to run on the web.

You're aware that C# is light years beyond PHP right?

If your point was not to judge a language without trying it first, sure. But if you know both, you would never dare to touch PHP ever again tbh...

Im not writting this to judge which is better... cause both are shit 😁

But I totally get the idea of knowing what the lang is without using it. You know, looking at docs and community.

I used both c# and php, if that makes you feel better about the slam from the top
