bahua124727yI use it for !i, !yt, and !m all the time. But I also use it for lots of other stuff. I seldom do !g though. DDG's default results are almost always more than adequate. -

I can't speak for others, but that's a much more laborious process than "!yt <search term>" for me. In Linux and Mac, I even have it set to be my default fallback in my keyboard launcher. So for 99% of my searches, I hit alt-space and then just type the search string. Then my preferred browser opens a tab with the search I entered. -
bahua124727yThat works for your workflow, and I'm glad it does. but I am seldom focused on my browser, so switching to it requires a superfluous step, for me. -

I use Mutate. I recompiled it to use ddg as a fallback, rather than Google. There are a number of user-configurable shortcuts you can use with it, and if you don't trigger any of them, it uses the search fallback.
