TL;DR: Why does that online shop NOT support paypal?

I'm a LITTLE pissed.

I wanted to buy some stuff online (since my gf birthday comes closer and I have no city, no car nearby to go shopping) - and this website doesn't support paypal. You know why? Because they had to high fees.

Why on earth don't they do it like any other online shop?! - the user can pay with paypal for a little more % or €.

I don't have an actual credit card but the thing you can get <18yo. Paypal works with it but I can't use any other payment option.

    Apart from those bad designed sites probably being insecure AF and I am always scared of entering my data cause it feels like I write it on a rusty piece of paper that a shady man with masks gives me--..

    Maybe PayPal screwed them over too many times?

    @Root yeah, it's well known that Paypal randomly freezes accounts and then uses the money for stock market business or so. If they keep the amount of frozen money constant, they always have a considerable sum at their disposition.

    Bad for a business if Paypal freezes their money while they have to pay their own bills.

    PayPal actually doesnt allow companies to charge extra for their product if the customer chooses to pay with PayPal.
    A lot of companies dont give a shit and nothing happens, and some companies respect PayPals terms, and doesnt use PayPal.

    Correct me if im wrong.

    PayPal doesn't support TLS v1.0 anymore. Maybe the online shop still uses it and they ditched PayPal instead of updating their shop software.

    Prepaid creditcard cards to the rescue?

    @EngineerCoding I don't think they support that :/

    @Root Exactly the reason why we stopped using a direct payment integration with Paypal for untracked orders.

    @xewl probably very wise.

    @Root most likely.. friggin' internet people D: trolled them out of their abuse-enabled system. Though, of course untracked shipments are better to be avoided, depending on the worth of its actual content.
