    - Less to no bloatware
    - Can be fully customisable to your needs
    - Centered with user's privacy in mind
    - A multitude of distros all with their own pros and cons for use with different tasks

    There are cons though:
    - If using Windows orientated stuff, it'll be a nuisance, aka Gaming, some 'everyday' programs, etc
    - Updating peripherals have been an issue on linux as some companies only create Windows programs to update it

    I'm sure there's more pros and more cons, but do your research on what certain distros can do to match your needs.

    I'm currently running a dual boot Elementary and Windows on my laptop

    Everyday usage? Like in home/personal stuff? Then it has potential for using less resources by system itself (depending on what you install) and it costs no money.

    Apart from my "Stallman period" I have used Linux for personal needs only to host server for a game, because it would eat less ram (it was barebones Arch). I would say that most of the time Windows is either good enough or better for home stuff.

    Thank you all for your comments.

    I might need to try linux again. Lets hope it works with my nVidia card.

    @oudalally Totally agree.
    Linux fans throw around the word ”customization” far too much when talking to average users.
    It can give the impression that Linux software has a ton of customizable options easily accessible.
    But often they just mean you have the choice to install a different software. Or even to do a complete reinstall and change distros.
