Got a Student job during July. When I arrived the first day they gave me the project they need me to work on.

They want me to create an intranet for the department based on a SharePoint infrastructure.
After 3 days of working on it, I'm starting to realize how hard it'll be since I don't have any admin access (would have been too easy). It's a multinational company so I have limited access to everything. No access to Sharepoint designer, neither to Sharepoint Admin Center and on top of everything, I don't even have the right to embed scripts to the pages.

Oh, and did I mention that I'm learning Sharepoint from scratch ?

It's fun to learn and to try to overcome problems and limitations but I'm really starting to stress about the final result ...

Why would you be able to finish the job, while not being elevated in rights to do it properly? Again, a company which doesn't know its shit.

@xewl I'm there for one month for a student job so they can't give me an admin account. Well at least that's their explaination.

@AdrienNini Well, then some manager should be able to give you instructions or credentials to do what they need you to do.

I'd be long gone in this kind of situation; when I can't even do what's expected from me...

@xewl Yep, unfortunately I need to pay my studies by myself, so I need to work 😂

I’ll say it’s a first taste of the real IT world/work, nothing like all the simple projects we have in school
