    My parents didn't want my PC to run overnight, but the internet connection sucked. So in order to download a rather large game I went on this fake update website and turned it on while my game was downloaded overnight.

    Yeah I guess that's the only good thing about those Windows updates.

    So I really want to go back.... But my clients send stuff in Microsoft office docs.

    How do you deal with this?

    @nzeetee Use libreoffice.

    @react-dev maybe I should try... But that's like me saying you should move from your favourite IDE/Editor. But perhaps I should pay that price.

    But you do actually update your box right? I get that windows update sucks, but at least it forces you to update.

    Remember fixing that windows xp box your parents had every Christmas? Yeah I’m glad my parents Notebook Updates itself nowadays

    @nzeetee you could try and open them in the web version of office 365, but that might defeat some of the purpose though...

    @fml89 I am on latest ubuntu on my personal laptop and i update it on regular basis, I also use mac for work that I update over the weekend. Ubuntu updates appear often, but lasts few minutes at most and runs in background. Mac has some long updates, bu updating it when not working on it.

    @legacyJanitor well you can click most updates away on windows 10 - you can set a time to update and what have you.

    At the end of the day just use the OS you like. I have multiple systems running different stuff. Windows 10, macOS, Ubuntu, Arch
