Looking for a halve decent laptop for around ~700 aud what should I get?

I think you will have to choose between i3-6th/7th Gen + 940MX or i5-7th Gen + Intel HD graphics at this price point :/

whatever you do, get an SSD. It's worth.

Don't get acer. I've seen so many of them act weird or break down... almost every one of my friends who ever had a broken laptop and complained to me about it, it was an acer one 90% of the time.

@hasu I have Acer but it's working perfectly fine.
Most of my friends own HP laptops and 70% of them had to get them repaired in one way or another.

@ZapdoSSS I used to have an hp one and never had issues with it. RIght now I have nexoc anyway and will probably keep having these and paying a bit more rather then buying anything from the normal store ever again. These are custom made and the ones I have, we can take apart and replace parts. So worth.

@hasu had HP laptop myself.
It's battery died after one and half year. It's been a year since I bought my Acer laptop so let's see how it will be in the upcoming future.

My first nexoc is about 6 years old. The Graphics card died at some point but we replaced it np. No issues since. The battery is dead tho but that is to beexpected.

The other one is 5 years old. It had a little contact issue between display and rest of laptop where the screen would turn off at certain angle. Send it it, got it back fixed, no problem since. Oh and it dropped with high speed onto marble floor once. No problems, it lives. Battery still holds normally.
