Le wild BSOD appears!!
Windows used KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE!!! It's super effective!
Hah! Well, you know.. it's fucking true. Windows' kernel security is a fucking joke.

First time that I actually laughed at a BSOD like this. Thanks Microshit!

    I want to get off Dank Memes of 2012's wild ride

    I've been floating back and forth between Linux and Windows on my main workstation, the only reason I keep it around is because of the awesome games, but then annoying shit like this comes up (or even more subtle things like my monitors getting swapped-WTF?).

    I just went back to Linux today and I feel great.

    @tokumei
    DXVK has been a godsend if you haven't looked into it already

    @tokumei I would go to Linux on this machine without second thought if only Acer and Nvidia would allow me to.On all of my other clients I am already running Arch Linux, and on production servers I run Ubuntu Server.

    Believe me, on this desktop I've desperately tried.. even tried to compile custom kernel that excluded all of Nvidia, and at some point partially worked.. except for the fact that the X server doesn't like dualhead 1920x1080+2560x1080 setup - particularly that ultrawide monitor on the right.

    So Windows it is.. not because I want to, not because I don't want to switch to Linux, I wish to be able to migrate this desktop to Linux with al my heart - but because I simply can't. Motherfucturers don't allow me to. Well it does give me the ease of being able to run Windows-only applications like games or special software or whatever without a problem.. but still.

    @dontbeevil I kind of expected you here. Yeah I blame Microsoft. And yeah I blame Linux just the same if they fuck up. Now shoo shoo fanboy.

    @dontbeevil I don't like Linux Fanboys telling me to switch to Linux on this host either. If they knew me for long enough they'd know that Nvidia, Acer and my own ignorance at the time shafted me royally and pretty much forces Windows upon me.

    Now I am not a fanboy - I just think that Linux is genuinely a better OS for me, an engineer - and thus I prefer it. However, as a partial Windows user (imposed on me as mentioned before) I do keep close tabs on Microsoft and notice that they've been getting better over time.

    However, I would never tag something "nonlinuxfails" like you do with your (honestly shitty) "nonmsfails". That's clear fanboyism. Wanna admit it or not, I don't care. You clearly love the shaft and everyone knows it.

    Well, I'm a windows user, I install lots of shit, and only saw 1 BSOD one time, while changing hardware...

    @dontbeevil I don't like fanboys from either side so please forgive me for not liking you. Don't worry, while I personally tend to prefer Linux, I don't like the Linuxovah's Witnesses either. Hopefully that soothes your tender feelings towards Microsoft that this rant clearly triggered.

    I'm more that kind of guy that uses whatever tools avaliable... I'm getting aquanted with Linux before moving all the way...
    Only reason I still use windows is games... And with my new addiction (arduino) I barely play flash games... So soon enough I m be another noob fucking Linux up

    @RiderExMachina holy shit, that is an awesome project. I can't imagine there'd be many more barriers until most games "just run" (besides the lack of testing and official support, of course). Things like this and WINE have done a lot of good work; also PlayOnLinux for making it all easy to configure/use.

    @tokumei
    Replace PlayOnLinux with Lutris and you'll be playing games like the best of us
