what an asshole, you can't substitute the work of 3 developers on your own. He should have hired a vacation replacement freelancer.
Tell him he can't expect to have the projects finished all by your own. It is not your job to compensate for his poor management decision. -
Voxera113976yIf your expected to do their work on top of yours, ask for their salaries on top of yours ;)
Probably wont work though :/ -
Unai4876yHe told me that "saying no" was not an option because of the deadline. But ... this morning the first thing I did was drink a big cup of courage and go to talk directly to one of the owners of the company.
This person told me that all this situation is inadmisible, so he is going to hire a worker to help me and, if the tasks are completed within the indicated deadline, I'll earn an economic bonus.
So... happy end finally.
Thank you all of you @heyheni @Voxera @error503 and @BigBoo for your comments and your support!! -
first thing: you take that hired developer for a walk with coffee to go. Outside of the office. Don't just let him sit next to you and "do this!".
Talk with him/her first. Show interest and admiration. If you make him sympathetic for your situation he/she will save your ass even harder and the biger the bonus 😉
Fuck!! I can't sleep because two of my coworkers took vacation and my boss told me this afternoon that he want me to do their tasks AND create a hole new project for the public administration. That's a lot of work!!
I have two weeks but, holy shit!!
