I attacked in the wrong direction. turns out there was a constraint that was false and I never tested it. I never broke out of the strait jacket. so I spent 3 days designing around the idea that this constraint was real. when it was not at all. sigh

    The correct spelling is "straitjacket."

The word "straitjacket" originated from the combination of two words: "strait," meaning narrow or tight, and "jacket," referring to a garment worn on the upper body. This term describes a garment that restricts the movement of the arms and is typically used in psychiatric settings to restrain individuals who may harm themselves or others.

It is important to use the correct spelling and word usage to ensure effective communication and convey accurate information.
