One question to the devRant gods: why make rants uneditable after five minutes?

I find no reason to this. Even the paid version does not eliminate this restriction.

All social media I know allow editing your posts afterwards (with some, showi g a change history).

Maybe... are the rants stored in a blockchain❓ 😱😂😂

I think it's great, because then people will be always discussing about the same text.

Because otherwise, people could rant about Microsoft, collect their ++, and after a day or two, they change the post which then says every Arch user is just an incompetent wannabe dev or else he would be paid well enough to be able to afford a decent Apple laptop. But the ++ would stay.

@jonii that's the reason the edit history exists in other sites.

@tsirpos nobody fucking looks at the post history though and it's a pain in the ass to find out what people were talking about at what change tbh

I can see your points... 😊

A feature that allows you to add some text after an EDIT: tag would be cool, so you can clarify things in the original rant while not being able to change the whole meaning of the rant

@david-hil I would prefer it as a comment for the timeline, but an reference to the comment might be handy?
