I've had to create a very simple frontend feature connected to an API. That part works flawlessly but we have rewritten a bunch of code in the system for a certain hardware device.

Now the person that was working on the backend just said today he has no device to test it on lab environment. Neither does any colleague apparently

And guess who got a meeting with the CEO, COO, sales people and the project manager for a demo of that said feature :D

    Just make a quick local API server and your part is covert ?

    Maybe people (companies) should go to full-stack devs and have 1 team for the entire project.

    I hate when a 'graphical' intern comes in and tells me that he can make front-end websites and that wix is the best tool ever... Go learn html and css dipsh**t

    @jestdotty I'm also confused but I'm not paid enough to question it. Knowing him, he'll test it in production :D

    @Grumm Our back-end is a bit more complex than a CRUD-application. The admin panel, frontend and database is updated correctly.

    But there is no behaviour yet connected to those properties. Or if there is one, we don't have the needed devices to test it out on lab environment. All the available devices we have are connected to our production environment which we cannot change without weeks of delay haha

    @wojtek322 great timing to tell you that there is no hardware available...

    @wojtek322 I'd be asking to be paid more not to ask questions, like a real classy corruption and bribe situation smh

    @Grumm ikr!

    @jestdotty Well, depending on our financial state of our last quarter... I don't think there will be a raise. :D

    @wojtek322 ofc not

    btw there's tons of ways to hide profits to be able to make justifications like that, no less

    doesn't sound like the best place
