If the recruiter starts her/his message with "Dear Mr. Doe", when I'm clearly a woman (got a profile picture and a unmistakeable female name) ...

Why is it sooo hard to check at least the first line of your c&p message??

    But I don't understand, when they can exchange my lastname, they had to at least read my (full) name somewhere...

    @katho2404 I don't think they've read it. Maybe when sorting the application forms they look at the photo... and let some script put the name into template and send automatically.

    It was not linkedin, but your arguments make sense.

    However, they will never fullfill their "female quota" if they keep doing that. I'm not going to answer them purely on principle.

    I'm not sure but in very high levels people are always called Sir, Mr.

    I have no idea why but my mom is a solicitor and she is always addressed like that

    @tahnik but she's woman, that's not only incorrect(Mrs./Ms.) but may offend.

    Watching someone calling GB Queen or some female minister a Mr. would be funny to see though.
