I think my MacBook Pro from early 2011 is ready for retirement 😔 froze two times today during gaming...

Just told my Teamleader that I'm going to resign at the end of the month.
He was not amused.

I have to do 3 hours of offline coding for a job interview.
Started my Windows VM 30mins earlier:
"Updating Windows"
Now at 33% and the mail describing what I should do comes in 8mins.
Yeah. 😡

Why is it so hard to remember, that devs need an error message if they should help you. just saying "it does not work" is not helping.
I even wrote you a checklist. so f*ing use it! I'm not there to be called every time just to tell you to do something that's already on this list.
Every. F**ing. Time.

Reading all your rants I'm glad my parents always supported me. They even helped to pick a good university and paid my dormroom all 6 semesters. I'm the first in the whole family who got a degree at university and I think they are very proud I have a stable job and a good income.
Though I doubt they know how rare (good) programmers are here and how much job offers I'm getting each week 😄

When I'm sitting at home scrolling through rants and laughing once in a while, my boyfriend always wants to know what's so funny. Most of the time I then have to explain the rant and he always says "you IT guys are sooo weird" and shakes his head
