    @netikras macOS told me I'm out of mem. Then I popped up activity monitor and realized Xcode was having a seizure. Also SSD access was going crazy, swap mem?

    @YeahOkay not necessarily. I've maintained VMs with 400GB+ RAM, Iron with 120GB+,... Also RSS could be covered by secondary operative memory (swap), assuming OP has a separate [HS]DD for swap :D

    But then again technicaly it _COULD_ be a datacenter. A very tiny one though :)

    Are you using the whole SSD as the RAM?!

    @netikras I haven't set anything swap related on high Sierra. Its whatever the "sane" defaults are.
