capcj1556y@pskfry Sometimes attaining to the basics or reinventing the wheel it's the start of something greater in a dev's life. If you can't find joy growing yourself in the code crafting, that's ok, but that boring way of the actual webdev scenario is horrible.
Maybe that's why everyone sees Javascript as awesome nowadays or puts ubuntu server + 40000 python packages/ruby gems just for the sake of not using the brains or not 'reinventing the wheel' because the world already has nice solutions.
Thank's God the C, BSD, Linux and a bunch of awesome things in tech came from guys that didn't follow those rules. -
@pskfry the fuck is your problem there? 0 rep/brand new here and want to start out as a dickhead? Fuck off

@S-Homles-MD i have been thinking about this, making a small first person game engine, kinda like the old duke nukem or doom games

capcj1556y@AleCx04 Sometimes it's for the best: the new devs that come here and read those things, do you know? If one young coder understands our point, my answer already paid off (for me).
Anyway, see your rant brought me joy, because I think the same in a world that is just throwing automated shit in our face everyday with fancy logos and stuff. Maybe that's why this site is so incredible.

Sometimes.....
When I want to escape how dull/repetitive/boring the world of web development is. I crack open a nice lil terminal, dust off my gcc/g++ compilers and fuck around in C or C++ till my eyes start to bleed.
I have been fucking around with systems development. Mainly with Linux programming. I have also started to get deeper on game engine design and compiler design....because low level development is where its at.
A man can only fuck around rest apis, css and html and the endless sea of Javascript and other dynamic languages for so long before going crazy.
Eventually.....I would want to code something impressive enough to give me a spot somewhere as a C or C++ developer. I just can't work with web development any longer man. It really is not what I want to do, the fact that I do it(and that I am good at it) is circumstantial more than because I really enjoy it. I really don't
