i accidentally closed my browser with 34+ opened stackoverflow tabs which were EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AND BEEN OPENED FOR DAYS while the rest of tabs were also important dev and non dev related stuff just because Google chrome does not have an option to warn me if i am sure i want to close my browser and because googlle chrome doesnot have even extensio n that can do this for me i am deeply frustrated right now

@1989 exactly it needs a tab opened which has a javascript code that prevents it from closing

i can code that myself but i dont want to have an extra tab im not going to use just so it can prevent chrome from closing

why cant there be something like firefox has in the background in settings??

If said tabs were not open in incognito mode, I suggest pressing the following keys:

    CTRL + Shift + T

vivaldi is a chromium based browser with advanced tab stacking and a recycle bin which shows the last opened tabs. And it let's you store sessions. And it has a visual representation of a timestream of opened tabs. Plus it's completely usable via keyboard and it's browser commandbar (f2).
And the tab splitscreen is my favorite feature. and it has a DARKMODE!

@1989 i cant call that an "extension" since it is something anyone can code in 2 lines of js code and it does not do the job its supposed to do like firefox does it

    1. You can reopen your tabs from history (but it seems like you are using incognito, so that might not help)

    2. Chrome does have a feature to restore last session

    Use history....
If using incognito... Why would you use it? Dealing drugs on stack overflow or something?

    Good luck
