Actually I think kinda opposite. Why on earth would I want to hide my terminal or let it occupy just a little space that guake uses by default? There is a whole screen that deserves to have terminal on it! With tmux inside for tiling :-)

@miska tmux is awesome. I barely know how to use it, I configured a few custom key bindings, and now all I know are my bindings. But, I love it.

Add zsh to the mix and you have my interest.

@joelbandi What does zsh have over bash and other bash-like shells?

@sheeponmeth ooops. Is should have mentioned oh-my-zsh framework. It has cool plug-ins and really useful productivity hacks. Now I just can't do anything anywhere except my personal shell.

@linuxxx used that when Arch didn't like Guake. Now on Fedora (distro hopping is fun) and guake works well enough for what I do (yuak used a lot of my memory for some reason as well)

I have a ultrawide monitor and I use terminator. My terminal is split into 6-7 windows and I use a hotkey to hide it or bring it back.

I used to use guake but I really need to split the terminal.
