was trying to present a project to an audience.

Apple VGA adapter got jammed.

my friend was a little too strong in pulling it out and the adapter wires got ripped out.

i see hot glue on the parts where the output wires connect to the circuit board.

yes! hot glue! now you know why it came out so easily!

i think you guys can imagine what happened to my presentation..

Thanks Apple!

How did you get it jammed in the first place? Also, don’t underestimate hot glue. It can be seriously strong. I know from experience. In this case it is probably stronger than screws would be anyways since the surface area of the glue is so large, especially considering how strong it can be.

@Alice thank you for saying this. Had it been pulled out correctly there would be no problem.

If Apple designed hardware as well as people say the do, there would be no problem

@RiderExMachina I'm the furthest thing from an apple fanboy so I'm not here to defend their hardware. I'm simply stating when you pull a plug out by the cables, eventually it's going to fail. It may not always do this, but it will fail.

@meeps Hm. Do you still have warranty on it?

@RiderExMachina If people used everything as intended, there would be no problem...
