    Are you sure you have enough disk space?

    I had a similar issue a while ago. I don't remember what I did though...

    the fastest way to remedy such things is to reinstall after taking a backup.
    imagine ask the time you spent looking for a solution, you could've started working by now...

    @tysa Strongly agree.
    I started installation around 00:00 I waited for it finish at around 04:00 in the morning when installation finished I got an errors. This apart from the time searching for solution in Google.

    @saltuwaiya it took way less than 4 hours for me (and I had a few plugins too - vsto and xamarin)

    anyways, did you open the installer as an admin ?

    @saltuwaiya is it possible that your firewall is blocking it? or perhaps your update. exe is corrupted?

    @tysa The first time after waiting 4 hours I got an error message I don't remember exactly what it was but I found an article in msdn how to solve that type of error to download FCIV file and save in some directory.
    Once I finished and insatall it again then I got this message about space in drives.

    I'll do a backup. Uninstall Visual Studio.
    And install again.

    Any better suggestion?

    I've had this problem and finally found out that the installer doesn't play well with certain graphic card drivers. I had to disable my graphics driver and than it installed. You can also do it via the command line installer (which shows no progress) but saves you from disabling your graphics card driver.

    Really wish Microsoft would fix that...

    @saltuwaiya https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/...

    Use the /q or /quiet to install without a GUI
