@CodeAlex I am actively working on the new site. I'd say I'm 60% in. That means 95% of the english start page.

@BambuSource like pure HTML, CSS, and JS and maybe apache back end? I did that for a while and then discovered how amazing node JS is with react and express

I have been procrastinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaating on my site

I need to redo it but I’m waiting until after I design my new avatar and everything

@andpeterson I'd love to have a one-sentence description of what these things (react, express, ...) actually are since googling that stuff doesn't help much. Similar with git (I know what that is now). But I never found myself like: Oh I need this feature, I look up what I need for it and see - I need react for it.

My stack is pretty much HTML+CSS+JS/jQ (I suck at scripting but I can do it a little - I'm more the web designer than web programmer). We never had php in school (only pure SQL) and I don't have any spots in my project where I think: Oh I need php. Let's learn that shit!

So please, once and for all, enlighten me on what that stuff actually is - in a nutshell. My current stack is super powerful and I don't know where I need more.

I only thought about learning three.js once but it looks so complicated and yet not like an allrounder like desktop engines :/

@A-C-E Oh I've been through a similar phase. It was like this:

"My-current-website-is-outdated-let's-design-a-new-one" to the "the-new-design-is-cool-but-I-just-got-a-better-concept-idea" to the "this-is-the-third-design-I-started-and-trashed-fml" and now finally "I-won't-fucking-change-the-design-concept-again" and "I'll-fucking-finish-this-shit-once-for-all"

@BambuSource sounds exactly like me. That whole redesign process is why I took my site off of archive.org for the moment because my “under construction” page was so cringey and stupid and I don’t know why I thought it was a good idea.
