Bought a new android phone and spent an hour:
* uninstalling apps
* disabling automatic updates
* disabling recommendations
* disabling sending anonymous usage data
* disabling notifications

It's like playing hide and seek but without fun

    I mean you do that to yourself though... You could just leave things default until the they actively annoy you then fix them at that point. Like notifications, imo leave them on, if an app ends up being to spammy disable notifications for that one. Rinse and repeat.

    Yeah, just disable them as they come, no need for this extra work
