What hours do you work?

I work 9-6, most people at my office work 7-4 or 8-5. I have the flexibility to work when I want, but never get to bed early enough to start earlier than 9. I feel behind when I get in the office because most of my coworkers and clients have already been at for an hour or 2.

When do you work and why? Can you tell if it’s impacted your career at all?

It's always good to sync the time with team.
Now a days I work from 9 because of handling the team. Real work get done once they all leave the office at 1700. After that I get enough distraction free time.

But that's my story, I don't have a life outside office and my lonely house force me to stay in office.

    Current job is 9-5
    Previous job was 9-9 😩
    Job before that was 8:30-5:30

it’s when the rest of the team works in office, and I also need to be around in a support role most of the day for other departments.

I actually do 10h30 - 19h... Most of my team does 9-5.. This way I get free undistracted time to work after they all leave

@mmcorreia fuck such a time table.
When someone really writes something like that I am really asking myself if this type of persons have no life when leaving the office.
It is hard to imagine for me to stay that late and begin at 10am the next morning. Such a torture.
You make yourself turn into a robot without being aware of it.

@C0D4 did you know that your previous job was going to be 9-9 going in? Was it a startup?

@bratsbratsbrats going in it was 9-5, but the amount of overtime needed to keep up was insane (management would throw more work into the mix even though active projects were incomplete).I left after about 3 months of it reaching that.

I work frome home i do between 8 to 10 hours of work a day (i take decent breaks and such so i dont feel overworked) to top it all off my boss and majority of the programmers live in the states and im from new zealand, sometimes it gets out of hand (worked a bit too much when we demo'ed live but it was neccessary and i took two weeks off afterwards :D) but as ong as i do updates either everyday or every few hours then its all good.

I work from 10:00 to 17:00 or 18:00. When I get the urge to keep going I have stayed till 20:00.

@-ANGRY-CLIENT- actually... Married with no kids...

I go for an hour long walk with my dog every morning and have a great social life...

Don't ever fucking impose your little world view over others you dimwit! You are the sad one, the sheep, the idiot who can't see no other way but yours...

@-ANGRY-CLIENT- BTW... I also have a sleep disorder where it is very difficult for me to get any sleep... So I usually sleep 4 to 5 hours a day and might need extra time in the morning in case I'm extra tired

@mmcorreia first of all I did not use any vulgar language. But since you want it that bad here it is.

Calm the fuck down, you illiterate piece of backstabbed dysfunctional dog shit whose mom should have rather swallowed instead of giving birth to such a wannabe alpha male creature.

Since we both are done using vulgar language to each other (without me starting it btw.), let us start with the real conversation...

    Lol Idc about you
    Thus bye

I work for a remote first company.
Dev team mostly works 9-6 and that's what I do too. We're very flexible.
The Only thing is that since we have some teams on the other side of the world there's the "golden hour" where everyone is online and most meetings are (5 to 6 for me)
