I'm cringing so hard about my posts.
What was I thinking when making them?
I'll let them live to remind myself of the pain.
Hopefully I won't post stuff that I will cringe about in the future anymore😂2
Facebook API is the most cancerous API to ever exist!
Complicated as fuck for no reason.
Don't get me started on WhatsApp API.
In the end I managed to make it work with my bot, but dude did that take a lot of time.
Using Twitter API and Discord API on the other hand was way easier.12
Status update: Almost two months ago I struggled alot with even basic math.
Now I've gotten way better in not just basic stuff, but also college level of math.
That's it. Bye.7
I'm doing the recommended math tasks. Since I can't trust the prof's solutions (he does errors here and there), I watch YouTube videos, Khan Academy videos, compare the results of the prof with the results of online step calculators such as wolfram alpha and find new rules I've never heard of before.
The prof doesn't really comment every step about why he's doing what. He just provides the solution and I have to reverse engineer from his solution up to the original state of the equation. Repeating the same procedure for the online calculator results as well.
I have to say that "Oh, boy, did I learn so many valuable things..." Stuff that I should have learned when I was at least doing my A levels (Abitur).
It is as if I am opening the gates to a new world. Not even exaggerating. Ok, maybe a bit. Ok, maybe a bit more, but no bit more than that.9
Ok, now math is starting to make sense and I'm beginning to enjoy it.
Is this a new level of the love of hurting one self or is this the act of enjoyness? Hmmm...
I noticed that I like to "reverse engineer" the formula we have to remember (I don't like remembering without knowing its benefits and reason of existence and it will most likely be forgotten after graduation when I don't find these two attributes of one formula) and I noticed that I am rather old fashioned and like to do it in a complex way instead of the derived ready formula way.4
We have this one professor in a mathematics course.
He sits there having no plan of what he's doing. He literally opens his python Jupiterbook with latex enabled, writes a complex equation and tries to solve it in 10 minutes. Makes mistakes every few steps and deletes his formatted equation that isn't even interpreted yet (we see the cdot etc. instead of * which makes it even harder to read). Every few minutes some student corrects him and he deletes it again.
Why can't you just think first and then write and try to teach us?
Use as much time as you want as long as you don't have to keep reverting back the humanly unreadable latex equation.
Hell, you are also allowed to use a basic pen and paper. Trust me, that shit is more readable, even if you have a bad handwriting, than your squeezed in complex untranslated latex equation in Jupiterbook.
Btw. he also streams with no zooming in I might add.
Am I supposed to trying to read your small as shit, focus on what you're teaching while you keep making mistakes or write it down on paper and practice the given tasks?
On top of that, he records the zoom conference but he doesn't share it anywhere on the college forum so that people who have missed it can download it and rewatch it.
Everything he does makes no sense. How did he become a mathematics professor with a PhD?3
Started at a new college once again after a long pause.
And I have to admit that I suck at basic stuff like algebra. Shit...
I'm putting a lot of time to understand things, but it feels like the knowledge just fades away. Starting to doubt myself...
Not hoping for anyone to support me either, just felt like posting so that I won't keep thinking about it and giving myself bad vibes.9
Around 2 months ago, I worked at Subway. AMA (just joking. Don't do it.)
I worked there for a week (I could write a lot about the environment) and quit it because of how entitled, lazy, rude and crazy the boss was.
The boss was the usual crackhead woman straight from the dumpster.
She used the Subway Instagram and Facebook pages as her private personal pages.
She told us to follow the Instagram page, like everything and comment on every post.
I didn't do it. Instead I shared the page with my friends and we laughed our asses off.
End of story.6
A lot of things happened. Life has changed and forced me to leave social media for some months (including devRant).
I became a happier person. I learned how to handle stressful situations and improved my social skills. Started to not give a fuck about people and realised that I get girls' attention without me putting effort.
Some girls began to initiate conversations which I found odd because I wasn't used to it.
I went camping with some bros last week, we met girls and I have a date next week.
I still can't understand how I am attracting so many girls. I barely changed from the outside appearance.
In short: Life is going great which is ironic due to the corona virus.6
If someone is sick of dualbooting windows and a linux distribution, hit me up.
Don't worry. I am helping for free.14
To the physicists among us:
I'm in the process of planning a very lightweight mini drone that flies with the help of radio signals that's surrounding it.
I'm targeting 100 MHz.
I calculated the amount of energy (Joules) of it and just when I did change the formula from E=h*f to Power=E/time I realized that time is basically going to be infinite and now I am stuck finding a solution to this.
I can't just use a potential infinite amount of time in this equation and need a workaround.
Any help is appreciated.22
There's this thing that I'm experiencing when it comes to fighting with someone in terms of physical activity.
I mean I'm not doing that anymore, but in the past whenever I was in such a situation, it felt like something took control over me and I enjoyed beating the enemy infront of me.
I felt like I was a completely different person than I am when I am not fighting. Idk how to explain it. I searched the net and couldn't find it there either.
It seems like this is a rare case.
It might be dumb to ask it and knowing that it might be dumb to ask this and to continue to ask this might make me seem ignorant, but I am in need of knowing what's happening.
If anyone's experiencing the same thing or if someone knows what's happening, I am all ears.
Edit: In the moment of this strange thing taking control over me, I felt no pain or less pain, when I got hit, than in "normal mode". Idk if it is something psychological or spiritual.15
Does someone here now how the TempleOS creator did receive messages from his god?
Edit: I didn't know about him until recently.3
Gaijin (war thunder), Origin and Epic Games game launchers do fucking suck.
They miss the option to load already installed games.
Lesson learned: If I wanna buy games, I will do it on Steam or on Battle.Net.
They have proper game recognition systems in place.
Now I have to download at least 300 GB of games with my bambus connection.
There's this odd thing that I'm experiencing in the moment of falling asleep.
I somehow remain conscious and can feel how the unconscious part of my brain opens a sort of portal to a dream world. I begin to hear sounds and my speed of thinking becomes slower.
That's when I get a panic attack and I am trying it again. After the 2nd or 3rd try, it usually works and I wake up in the next morning as if nothing happened and the cycle repeats again lol
That makes me wonder if a "healthy" way of dying will have this sort of transition as well.15
Do we have vfio enthusiasts here?
Now that I made my second GPU boot into Arch Linux (inb4 I use arch, btw. jokes in the comments), I also set up a windows vm with GPU passthrough.
When I plug the monitor cable into the hdmi port of my passthrough'd GPU, I can see windows os on the screen.
My problem is that I want to have it inside of the same monitor without changing the from hdmi port to hdmi port manually, but "softwarely" (neologism ftw).
I read about looking-glass in the arch wiki (I use arch, btw. + On a serious side note though, I really like the arch wiki. It is very straightforward.), but I could not get it to synchronize with the Spice display server.
Does someone know how the solution to this problem?6
Aaayoo issya boi the OG rapper straight outta Compton, wassup?!
Nah, for real, though.: How are y'all doing? It has been a long time. I hope y'all are having a great time (can sense some peoples' incoming negative comments due to corona).
I built my completely new first gaming rig like a few weeks ago after my school laptop stopped showing any signals.
The specifications are the following.:
- Mobo: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (no iGPU)
- dGPU: KFA2 RTX 2070 SUPER OC
- 2nd dGPU: GTX 550 TI (this one gets a new rant/post)
- RAM: 2x G.SKILL Ripjaws V 8 GB 3600 MHz
- PSU: Be quiet 650 W (It was the platinum edition afaik. I originally bought the 600 Watt Gold edition, but somehow they sent me the 650 Watt for no additional charge... which is great for me haha)
- HDD: 2x 4TB NAS HDD in RAID1 configuration (to load all of my games around 2 TB right now. Got the two HDDs for 110 Euro including the SATA Data cables)
- SSD: One Intenso 240 GB SSD and a reused Samsung 256 GB SSD from my old broken Lenovo laptop
- Case: Be quiet Pure Base 500 black with a glass panel on the side
While building my first PC, it was one hell of a challenge. I knew how it all was working in theory, but to put it all together, practically, was a bit of a challenge, but it was a nice challenge. I learned a lot and have a performance gain I could only ever dream of.
I used to play my games first on a Toshiba satellite l750d laptop (around 40 fps in cs:go with the lowest gfx settings) and then on a Lenovo e51-80 laptop (around 30 fps max minecraft with no shaders and texture packs).
Now I play cs:go on Kubuntu with 400 fps at peak with ultra high graphics. It is unbelievable.
I couldn't trust the system when I turned on the fps display the first time I saw it.9
I'm going to build a PC. Everything is done besides of the GPU.
I wanted to go full team red, but it turns out that the RX 5700 XT has a lot of driver issues.
I watched a hell lot of YouTube videos, benchmarks, forum posts, reddit, ...
Everyone is complaining about driver issues that haven't been fixed since the launch of the product.
That makes me want to go to team green and buy the NVIDIA 2070 SUPER GPU.
I post this as some sort of rant, but also as some sort of advice seeking post to double check my decision before I buy the 2070 SUPER.17
I'm thinking about publishing a modified clone of my portfolio website here to get helpful feedbacks.
I don't feel ready to give out all of my personal information. I will change some personal data like names and address to something else. Thus the need for the modified clone.3
I feel so great after switching from Windows 10 to (GNU/(REEE))Linux Kubuntu.
No annoying and redundant programs that are not quitable anymore.
It is like having a rooted phone. I am the god and not Microshit.
I am free. It feels so relaxing.
Sure, while setting this new system up, I broke a lot of things (even with years of preknowledge on linux servers), but I finally managed to finish it.20
It sucks to have memories assigned to specific sounds.
There are old songs that I love to listen to, but I keep thinking of heartbroken moments, the death of my grandma, my beautiful non-depressive childhood moments etc.
One method to avoid that is to listen to these songs again, but with "great" memories. That way it gets overwritten.
I may sound like a cry baby, but I had to let this one out of my soul to relieve myself in a strange way.4
There it fucking is again...
The legendary spyware "Antimalware Service Executable".
I changed the entry in the regedit. Tried to delete it with every possible tool. Tried to "chmod" it in the Windows way to be able to delete it as an admin. Doesn't work.
I swear in the name of bloody satan. This shit is doomed. It cannot be removed even if your shit begins to burn.
Microsoft, fucking remove it.
It is not a fucking feature!
Your windows updates fucking suck, your compatibility telemetry whatever the fuck you call these retarded ass "features" anymore fucking suck, your windows defender sucks.
Is there anything that doesn't suck in the features that you produce? I don't fucking think so. Fucking die for fucks sake.
Apple is overpriced, but at least they do their job well. Not like you, you fucking scumbags!
In Germany we have something called "Rundfunkbeitrag" (aka GEZ-Gebühr a long time ago).
The "Rundfunkbeitrag" is something that you have to pay for even if you don't own a TV, watch TV, listen to a radio station etc and consume ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradios' radio services and online services (as in news sections for example).
That's pure scam.
The "Rundfunkbeitrag" is basically broadcast contribution.
Is there any country that is not forcing you to pay for something you don't own and/or consume?
I, for one, don't watch TV, never consume their services and don't listen to radio. There are better alternatives.
We, as a society, will even pay for the amount of air we breathe in and out in the future. That might sound like bullshit to you, but just take a look around yourself and face the reality for once. We get scammed from all sides, don't we?
How unlikely can that be to happen in the future?
We literally get gang banged with "GDPR", "Imprint", "Rundfunkbeitrag", "Media lies (rather subjective)" and other things in Germany.
Again, if there are better alternatives let me know.24
I still remember when I was 8 years old and used to use "position:absolute"everywhere and use top and z-index to hardcodedly place my elements in my old web projects. I used a lot of <br> and padding + margin were not familiar words to me.
Somehow these projects were responsive, too. Strange times.
Nowadays I avoid "position:absolute", z-index and <br>s like the plague lol5
There are a lot of things I would like to do, but the lack of enough money makes it hard.
My goals are to become more active on YouTube, find clients and hold them, try to learn how to sell products convincingly, become better at web design, understand university-level mathematics, leave Germany (one particular reason for this is the need of the redundant imprint), help people around the world, become more fit bodywise (by doing e.g. swimming, jogging and going to the gym), eat healthy and drink a lot of water, work on my emotional intelligence, learn peoples' behaviours and why they do what they do, write my own book, finally start practicing yoga and muay thai, live on my own, make a world tour for a year, learn the skill of powered paragliding, getting the license for powered paragliding, glide with a powered paraglider the whole day, build a house in the woods, create my own satellite and launch it, develop new things (like building some sort of vehicle that can fly in a special way), learn about biology, chemistry, physics (I hate it, but I believe in the power of what is going to happen once you learn it), become more aware of what is happening, live on the streets with no money to learn the ability to survive in more extreme situations, learn how to use guns, bombs, snipers and knifes properly (don't assume that I am a terrorist now haha, I am just interested in that type of stuff. That's all to it) ...
But all of that, obviously, not in 2020. More like within 10 years.1
