I am also a 3rd year student
they visited our campus,organised a proper hackathon and recruited on the basis of hackathon performance and HR interview.
Idk much about off campus stuff. Just hope your college's placements cell is awesome.
Mostly companies ask questions based on algos and data structures and have multiple interviews.
This hackathon thing is pretty uncommon.
