Fuck the lineage install fcked something up big time on my OnePlus 6...

No more flashing unofficial roms...

I tried flashing stock several times... still cant get past the boot screen witch the animation.

Never happened before.... cant even access storage from TWRP.... fck....

Any ideas? Even if i restore the stock image, it just keeps showing the booting screen.

@billgates try another kernel, and flash TWRP V3 or above to access your storage (be sure to mount it fisrt!)

@MEGADROID I sorta got it working again... but only after nuking the whole phone...

Working if i forgot to backup any important files... had to pull them all via adb and seems some file names were too long for Windows to handle....

@billgates ALWAYS make a NANDROID backup before flashing any ROMs ;)

@MEGADROID I did a TWRP backup but after restoring it just went to a blank screen with a white LED. So seems like the backup failed? And this was the start of the whole problem.

@billgates hmmm, never had this one before, did you make a full wipe (without internal storage) before restoring? Also did you get any errors after restoring on TWRP?

@MEGADROID sorta of but at a certain point TWRP stopped decrypting Internal Storage. So at that point i was just

@MEGADROID not for OnePlus? Rooting is allowed so as long as the curent ROM is stock, they wouldn't be able to tell?

Apparently rooting doesn't void the warranty, but under/over clocking your cpu voids it.

@billgates btw, does it boot now? Or are you still stuck in a bootloop?

@MEGADROID boots now... but lost all the apps, data and files on it. so basically Factory state....

@billgates that sucks, did you use any cloud backup services, also if you were logged into Google you could restore your contacts/app data from there, good luck!

@MEGADROID not really.... I use Titanium usually if I need to move phones but don't do when upgrading OS...

Lesson learned... Always take a TI believe when upgrading the OS so it can all be restored if there whole thing fcks up...

I don't have any oneplus devices but I would have tried partition repairs or real partition formats from TWRP

@electrineer that's what I did, finally worked after basically doing a full reset, lost all data
