Slow!=bad work, usually company that want something set up quickly encounter bigger drawbacks in the end. Deploying something takes time and need to be thoroughly checked.
So if you were doing everything right, making enough tests along the way to proove your work then its their lost. For sure it sucks to be fired but sometimes its that the mentality of the company isnt in sync with yours and that their demands are related to a different market where speed is over quality (assuming you were for that).

If you are still beginning, a good company would always try to train you because in the end their investment if they treat you well could pay off a lot.
Its the same for quality development, their investment in the time to make a project ensure a bigger profit and less expenses overall.

@SukMikeHok Depends on where he's living, there may be a trial period where he can be let go for any reason. Here in Spain trial periods can last three months or six months, and you can be fired for literally any reason withing those months.
