I have an increasing urge to code but I have no idea what to code.

I feel you bro, just learn some new coding techniques from udemy so you can improve yourself and fill this need.

In such times I code a ToDo app using a new language or learn something about Linux servers.

Before devRant (joined Feb 2017) ya I used to waste my time 😞

Think of an app on your phone that you want to replace. It may be to add a new feature or make ui/UX better. And then code the same. Extend this to other ideas that you have and profit. I do this to learn new tech all the time on different platforms.
