So today I got fired.

Why?

The Ceo forgot they asked me to take care of some business while he was gone. They went on a trip to get thier butt inflated (quite litterally kim kardashian status) for two months.

Me, A general employee, not a captain, or a division manager.

Turns out I ran the company a lot more efficiently than they did, reducing our man power from 5 staff per task down to one per task.

Not only that increased client retention 78℅

Was let go for overstepping my company roles.

I think they we're just a bit jealous, or ego was too large.

Luckily, one of the division managers took me under one of their teams and is secretly keeping me on until I bust out of this joint.

Did they ask you to run the company? How did you reduce the desk from 5 to 1 employee? Maybe you should have been promoted 😊

    @Jumpshot44

tldr: divisional directors meeting was called, I compiled all of the requests made by all of the teams, made Adjustments.... to the figures according to some of the overlooked by said owner (favoritetism) to get us through 2 months not 2 weeks. Resources were disperesed fairly, and our revenue trippled anything that has occured in the past 9 months. Fixed a few client relationships that were chokeholding us on getting supplies due to ceo vs said party personal relation, but as a third gate way was able to patch old bridges, and our flagship location was able to return to its former glory without a deficit.

I feel like i might have skipped something. I did spoof my title, but, I happened to have the supporting documents to play house.

things worked out great, until the devil returned and all of our locations grinded to a halt immediately as if their butt had a new gravitational pull of shit and decay. lol

@Jumpshot44 on the work side was mostly removed a lot of micromanaging as suggested. each team can be in charge of their account holders, it doesnt need to be all funneled through unecessary channels, and all commands were verbal driven which drove me bonkers, like just fucking write it on fucking form and they can pound it out systematically.

lemme try to think of an example.

imagine a restraunt and how it takes orders. client comes in, waiter takes order, cook prepares food, food is served.

now imagine our world where the client comes in, and is seated, the waiter rolls up with a robot companion. the customer tells the robot the order, and the robot tells the customer the order. the customer looks at the waiter and again repeats the order. the waiter looks at the robot and repeats the order, and then looks back to the customer and repeats the order. the customer stares on dumbfounded, and goes to the cook directly.

    customer > cook > cust

    waiter > cook > waiter

    robot > cust > robot ,
    cust > robot > waiter ,
    robot > cook > robot ,
cust > robot > customer confirmation of successful input into robot.

customer screams, the waiter screams, and the cook screams, and they all beat up the robot in the back alley with baseball bats and no one eats because the robots wasted all the time in the day.

hopefully that captured some kind of insane repetition.

@inorishizuka new streamlined channel. everyone seats themselves ,everyone orders for themselves, everyone cooks for themselves, and the oversight comes at the end at checkout the captains check the work, and sends it a long to be finalized and accounted for. (food in this case equals product orders plus paperwork, and documentation)

The fact that they felt that they had to get their butt inflated says it all. Ego and vanity. You have a good entrepreneurial spirit, so you should leverage that and beat them at their own game, especially if they didn't make you sign a no compete agreement. There sky is the limit.

@xinuxunil thanks, and thats true! I should set up shop

@inorishizuka Basically what @xinuxunil said earlier. Sadly there is an unwritten law in the workplace that says you should NEVER take on a task unless you have been specifically asked to take it on through and executive order which seems NOT to have been the case here.

From the looks of it you have had it with the way the things were handled before and seized the chance of their absence to do what you always wanted to do. This will never look right in the eyes of the people running the company no matter how much you streamlined work and increased efficiency as CEO positions mostly come with connections rather than qualifications unless the CEO is also the business owner as well.

With your passion and drive in whatever business venture it is you should seriously consider setting up shop and do a better job than they have been doing thus far.

Always remember, their system wouldn't have got so screwed if the majority of the top brass had a functioning brain.
