Dear the jackarse the wrote our highschool ComSci course.
Go fuck yourself. Pascal is deprecated long ago, no-one using it but you. You are dragging us down on the programming yet you want us to follow up "the great 4.0 revolution" while feeding us garbage from like what, the 90s? Please consider switching to some modern language, not necessarily the C family but please be something modern. And teach us to use the command line.
For the love of god

@cafecortado no. just no. it's crap.

@cafecortado *shrug* I don't like Pascal. Too much confinement and "reinventing the wheels". And the coding env is a program for DOS or sth (TurboPascal) and it's hurrgghhh. Probably because I'm too Pythonic? But who am I to judge two language. Still a try-hard.

@PrivateGER Just because you think it's crap doesn't mean it's not useful.

Annnd here goes another pointless fucking language debate

@PythonTryHard Be glad you even got a fucking high school comp sci class in the first place.

I the purpose is to teach you how to program, does it really matter which language to use?

I mean, it sure would be way nicer to use a more modern language, but don't look at it like “they are teaching us something that almost nobody uses anymore” but more like “they're teaching us concepts that we can easily apply to other languages”.

BTW, Pascal is still used. First thing that comes to mind, InnoSetup uses FreePascal to compile the installer script, for example.
