Do you also have a colleague that, if it were up to you, would have been fired months ago?

probably that guy is me, in my case. i have a habit of slacking at work to make time for my own hobby projects and academic readings, i have a constant sense of guilt against my superiors, even when i work fine and they say nothing.

More like years ago.

He did get fired months ago

I was supposed to be a temp to help him. During my downtime, I rewrote his half-year project over the course of weeks, and when it came time for my contract to expire, they kept me and let go of him.

A colleague if mine went on leave (didn't get along with management) for nearly 3 years now. But they are related to a lawyer that is threatening to sue if they are not allowed to come back. But they won't come back if they are going to be managed by current bosses. Ridiculousness all around!
