A client just sent me a bunch of screenshots of his old website, asking me to make a site that looks just like that. I declined.

    But why??? Easiest $600 ever heard of

    @marcorodnav

    A couple reasons:

    1) I don't do design. I am an infrastructure/system guy. I am selling him hosting.
    2) I don't like design.
    3) I have a real job that pays me a lot more than gig money.

    @bahua Hey don't get me wrong, I'm a full time backend dev, trust me, I don't enjoy frontend work haha, but for someone handing me screenshots of what existed and wishing for it to exist again (the same), I could either do it or pay some of my frontend devs friends to do it and then share the profits... Maybe it's not much, bit maaan, it's pizza and beers for almost no effort

    4) Client won't pay shit.

    @bahua If the client won't pay shit, then why are we calling him/her a client in the first place????

    @marcorodnav

    He paid me for hosting. I use the word, "client" very loosely.

    Bet the reason they only have a screen shot of the site is that they didn't pay for it and the developers/designers took it down.
