This rant is only because I have a rant, but not related to the weekly rant, so I don't fucking like a tag that I didn't choose to come up... Fuck off wk1381
So I never tried to downvote something here. And then a saw a bullshit rant of a PHP dev... I proceed to make my first downvote, and what I get??? A fucking pop-up requiring me to justify why I dislike the rant... Fuck that, I have enough with my boss and my girlfriend asking me explanations of everything... Bullshit popup8
I know that when a deadline is present, things like cyclomatic complexity might be something that is a left aside. But I hate so much having to troubleshoot a method with 15 levels deep of nested if, try-catch, loops... Fuck!3
I mean, this is going down the drain... I've just finished a shitty "devDay". Almost 60% of work on meetings, with a lot of actual work behind schedule. Stopped working (actual working) about 5 minutes ago. And then I come here, where I should be at peace, sharing my Friday rant, and what I come to... Memes, and lame rants about "debugging with print statements vs using a proper debugger"
Fuck that! This place is losing its magic. I mean, there are a lot of subreddits to post that shit. Fuck! Maybe one of these days, I'm going to find a fucking <insert famous pop/rap/K-pop star name> video on devRant...
FML, today was shitty, and all because of fucking bad api-specifications and all those pathetic "rants" (emphasis on the quotes) that I've found here4
Let's call this a !rant haha
Yesterday and today are my last days at this company, and for some unexplainable reason, every bug that I've been assigned is been easy to fix, every junit that I've written has passed at the first time!
Damn, best last days ever XD
Me: Vs Code
Friend: Light theme
Me: Dark theme
Friend: I believe there's some kind of energy that rules our destiny.
Me: Haha, seriously, no
Friend: (Starts telling me about some proposal of how he's going to build something).
Me: Yeah that's not going to work.
Friend: (Gets angry and proceeds to explain his idea on a whiteboard)
Me: Ahhhh yeah, sure it looks great

If we didn't have such a solid friendship, I think we'd hate each other by now hahaha16
Well most of my friends are developers, so we either are working or going out, eating, drinking or just ranting haha... With my girlfriend and my daughter is a little bit more complicated, but they're there to remind me that not everything in life should be about work
Well I consider motivation something that although is influenced by your "environment", you must seek for it. Even with the most boring/stressful/etc. situation, there must be something that makes a little change... For example, my first job was in QA testing, and I don't have anything against it, but it's simply not what I was interested... Initially my life was a little bit miserable haha, because most of my friends were already working as developers. At that time motivation was pretty low to be honest... My solution, I started learning about automation testing, that was more motivating and to be honest, a most interesting branch of testing. There I've found motivation to keep going, getting better and eventually gaining more experience to get a developer job.
Haha, I was checking a bug of something that is displaying wrong in the app that I'm currently working, reported by the manager of the IT department, and he took the trouble of taking photo of the phone instead of a screenshot XD1
Fuck backward compatibility
Because IOS 9 and Android 4.4 doesn't support arrow functions, I have to refactor almost 90% of the code4
